Twilight

I saw Twilight this weekend and I was so beyond disappointed.  They ruined the book!  A part of me loved seeing it all come to life, but still there was so much missing!   If they can make Harry Potter 3 hrs long, Twilight deserved the same. 

I am excited though, because Barnes & Noble finally had New Moon back in stock!  I have had the 3rd and 4th book sitting on my nightstand for weeks, however I can't do much with them until I have read the 2nd.  

It is pretty sad that I am blogging about this novel.  My 13 year old cousin was over for thanksgiving and she was so giddy about the movie and book.  She saw the movie 3 times already!  It reminded me of when Titanic came out and how excited I was about Leonardo DiCaprio.

This series also brings me back to when I was obsessed with the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TV series.  My good friend and fellow blogger, Carrie and I watched every show in college religiously!  We were devastated when it ended.  

I am off now to start New Moon!

Okay... I am obsessed with Chuck and Blair...am I the only one?  Please tell me there are more of you out there that love them.  They are so sexy together.  The banter, the games, the seduction...sigh.  Each episode I just wait for them to finally give up and kiss!   Tonight's episode was fantastic!   

At least I still have new episodes of Gossip Girl while I wait for January 5th to roll around for One Tree Hill to return.

Most Exciting News!

No Doubt announced they will go on tour in 2009!  I can't express my excitement for this news!!  I screamed with glee in the car this morning as Kevin & Bean made this announcement.  No Doubt even added it to their webpage!  This is my favorite band of all time!  Any of my friends can tell you how much I love them and Gwen.  This is the best news ever!

It's Britney Bitch

My new favorite music blog, Pretty Much Amazing, has posted review on "Circus," Brit Brit's new cd.  It is a fantastic review that delves into great detail on each song.  It even helped  turn the light switch on for the song "If You Seek Amy," AKA F.U.C.K ME.  Read the blog and you will get it.

Now as you all await the release of this cd on December 2nd , I already have it loaded on my itunes and is on repeat.  It is so good, amazing... Oh and did I mention fabulous?!

It's Official !

Back in October I posted asking for your help when deciding to take the makeup artistry certificate class, well all of your advice and guidance helped!  I am now officially a professional makeup artist!  I  am so excited that I finished this class.  This has opened a whole new door for me.  My main focus is going to be bridal.  This is the area I know I am good at and I am the most passionate about.. I can't wait to start this journey!

So I think I might be Katy Perry for Halloween...not sure if it would be the above picture but I have found some great options on etsy.com from vintage bathing suits to 1950's rompers... We will see if I can pull this off.

It's Halloweeen Time

It's finally October!! My favorite time of year has finally approached!  Costumes and candy, what more could I ask for.  I am not sure what I want to be Halloween this year... I always say that I will plan my costume out far in advanced so I am not rushing to put something together but of course being the procrastinator that I am I have not planned anything.   I am considering between a Flapper, snow white or a vampire....I guess we will just have to wait and see come October 31st!

Oh how I hate making decisons

Next Wednesday I am supposed to start my class to receive a certificate in Makeup Artistry... I swore that I would follow through with this after much harassment from friends and family.  I know that this is something that I want to pursue as a side job, something for fun, extra cash, something new...yet I am having second thoughts.  I keep coming up with various, yet really valid excuses:

1. I have to be at work by 8am to leave by 4pm to make it in time for the 7:10pm class

2. the amount of make-up I need to purchase for the class is adding up quickly... almost $500

3. there is this amazing musician, Matt White performing at my work on Wednesday October 15th...I have to miss this show

4.  I am still thinking of this excuse #4

what should I do?!?!

Something to look forward too

Two of my favorite bands have new cd's coming out in the next few months. The Killers will release their cd on November 24th and Snow Patrol will release theirs on October 27th. Now most people correlate new cd's with new music, new songs to love and sing along to in the car, new songs to share with friends..etc I correlate new cd's with a CONCERT TOUR! These cd releases mean that I will get the chance yet again to see them perform live. These two bands are some of the best "live" performing bands you will ever see. Their cd's never do them justice!

Viva Las Vegas

This weekend I was in Vegas celebrating my boyfriend's 26th birthday as well as my good friend Melissa's little sister's 21st birthday.  Vegas is one of favorite's party spots.  There is never a quiet moment.  It truly is the city that never sleeps.  On every Vegas trip there always seems to be one song that sets the mood for the weekend...this trip it was "In the Ayer" by Flo Rida.

The first post to a full-time commitment
